The essence of Human Resource Development is education, which plays a significant role in balancing the socio-economic and cultural fabric of the Country. Since citizens of Kurdistan are its most valuable resource, our nation needs the nurture and care in the form of education in general and higher education in particular to achieve and ensure a better quality of life.

This warrants an all-round development of our university, which can be achieved by building strong foundations in higher education via Continues Academic/Professional Development (CAD). In pursuance of this mission, the Department of Human Resource Development (DHRD) at Koya University has been established.

The DHRD is engaged in bringing world class opportunities of higher education and research to the country so that students from Kurdistan Region of Iraq are not finding lacking when facing an international platform. DHRD provide recruitment guidelines; provides guidance and support for personnel actions; classifies positions based on duties and responsibilities; directs effective employee-employer relations; and ensures a safe and healthy work environment.

DHRD’s goal is to recruit and retain “the best and the brightest” employees, so that Koya University can deliver efficient and effective services with high quality.
